Before you can complete the Ula’ula Great Experience and leave the island in Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon, there is a very big tornado – instead of fighting Kahuna, you will have to conquer Po Town. This is the home of Team Skull, an abandoned, upper-class community that has fallen into disrepair in the northwestern reaches of Al-Ula.
There is an army of Skull Grunts between you and Guzma, and some puzzles to solve. This is only the first story-centric step in our journey, and the next time things will be off the beaten path. Eventually we’ll be able to come back and earn the Great Experience completion badge, but we have some Pokemon to save from Team Skull first.

Walkthrough Part 9: The Skull Boss Guzma
Now that you have completed the terrifying Thrifty Megamart Trial, it is time for you to take the Grand Nanu Experience. Before the big battle, you will have to defeat the Skull team in their hometown. Bo Town, an abandoned walled resort town, is packed with the Skull Grunts. It’s a tough fight, but there’s a lot of XP to wade through before facing off against Nanu Team from Dark Type Pokémon.
First, take a trip to Aether House. Immediately, you will have to defeat Plumeria.
The Battle: Team Skull Admin Plumeria
Team: Lvl. 37 Gulbat, Level. 37 Salazil
After the fight, a mission to infiltrate Po Town will begin. The kid will reward you with Rare Candy, too. Leave and head west to the beach, left of Aether House on Route 15. There is a stranger in a kimono. Talk to him and you’ll get a Sharpedo Ride Pager. Now you can break rocks in the water!
Use Sharpedo to break between rocks south of Route 15 Beach, then swim up and across the Rock Breaker to Route 16. There is a PokeCenter above and offshore that you can use to recover and restock. There are more coaches in the small Meadow Olola area, which leads to the road to Bo Town.
Bo Town – Skull HQ Team
Before you can actually enter Po Town, you’ll have to battle a pair of Grunts waiting at the front door. You’ll have to fight a lot of Grunts while exploring Po Town, so we’re going to list all the required battles and levels for each Pokémon encounter.
The Battle: Team Skull Grunts
Team: Lvl. 36- My brother, Lowell. 36 Bunyards
Nanu Police Officer will let you enter Po Town. Team Skull is in full control of the rainy neighborhood. To get from the first gate, go under the fence to the left. Through the portal, you’ll face another Skull Grunt. Defeating Grunts at Barricade will clear the way.
The Battle: Team Skull Grunt
Team: Lvl. 36 Spinarak
The Battle: Team Skull Grunt
Team: Lvl. 36 Trubbish
First thing’s first – enter the abandoned PokeCenter in Po Town and pay $ 10 to recover from Pokémon. Come back here if you ever need to heal while cleansing the rest of Pooh.
To pass the second barrier, slide from the bottom of the barrier to the left. There is a gnaw patroling the wall. Another is standing on the truck, and you will definitely have to fight him.
The Battle: Team Skull Grunt
Team: Lvl. 37 Druze
The Battle: Team Skull Grunt
Team: Lvl. 37 Ekans, Lvl. 37 salandit
Next, we will need to pass the last checkpoint that leads to the Grand Palace where Guzma is located. Use the fallen part of the fence like a ramp to drop into the front yard of the mansion. Watch out for the patrol Grunt!
The Battle: Team Skull Grunt
Team: Lvl. 37 Fomantis, Lvl. 37 Mariani
After that, you’ll want to conquer the palace itself. This place is crowded with gallop grunts who patrol the corridors and hang out inside the side rooms. At this point, I saw the type of Pokemon that every Grant carried.
To advance through the palace, go through the door to the left of the stairs. Head straight across the room, to the hallway, and to the next door on the right. In the kitchen, check the sheet for the Team Skull password – Tapu Cocoa – and that they “always answer their heads” No! “.
Now that we have your password, go up the main stairs to the second floor. In the left back door of the second-floor corridor, you will find the TM36 Sludge in an oddly clean room. In the left front room, you’ll find another Skull Team password: Bounsweet.
On the second floor door, give the Skull Grunt team these three passwords: Poison Jab, Bounsweet, and Tapu Cocoa. Then answer, “No!” in the end. You will be allowed to enter the balcony and go through the window leading to Guzma’s room. The senior boss of Team Skull is ahead, so now’s the right time to return to Po Town PokeCenter. When you are ready, approach the door guarded by the two Grantians.
The Battle: Skull Team Boss Guzma
Team: Lvl. 41 Julesopod, Level. 41 Maskerine, level. 41 pence
This fight is very similar to the battle against Guzma in Malie Garden. His Pokemon is level up, and he will bring Pinsir to fight. Bring a Pokemon that can withstand powerful Flying and Bug Type attacks. Bring lots of overdoses and revitalize, and recover in between rounds – if you use too much medicinal items, this helps poison your enemies. Poison, then you can usually wait for enemies to heal and allow them to succumb to small amounts of damage at every turn.
Defeat Guzma and release the captive Yungoos. Don’t miss the chance to get a Buginium-Z crystal in the box next to Guzma’s throne. On the way out of the palace, Nanu will appear and heal you, while Acerola collects free Pokemon and takes it home. Next goal – to return to the house of ether.
When you arrive at Aether House, you’ll learn that Lillie (and Cosmog!) Have been kidnapped by Plumeria. Not only that, but Gladion arrives and attacks with his team of Pokémon.
Battle: Gladion
Team: Lvl. 42 Gulbat, Level. 42 visitors, level. 42 type: null
Team Gladion looks very intimidating, but it’s not nearly as dangerous as Guzma. Fight every boss your way to gain loads of XP, and Gladion shouldn’t be a problem. The real problem is Lily, and how she’ll save her. We’ll save it for next time.
